Biography

Having always been curious about how things work, whether technology or business, Omar has been fascinated by what sits beneath the surface. Strategies, structures and platforms give part of the picture, but the real forces often appear in how people think, respond to pressure, interact and adapt to changing situations.

That curiosity shaped a career in enterprise technology and transformation. Omar came to see that systems alone never determine success. Meaningful change comes from clarity, alignment and the ability to bring people together around a shared purpose.

His work has included transformation at DMCC in Dubai, the merger that created the United Kingdom's largest mobile operator at EE, the growth of CloudSense into a leading Salesforce partner, and the evolution and successful exit of Makepositive. Across these environments, his focus has remained on simplifying complexity, building trust and improving customer and employee experience.

Omar has also advised governments, free zones, media groups and national programmes on ecosystems, investor experience, digital platforms and citizen journeys. Mentoring became a natural extension of this work, particularly with technically talented people developing greater influence, communication and situational judgement.

Skills Shift brings these experiences together around a simple belief: human capability sits at the centre of real transformation. Technology and markets will keep changing, but people who can think clearly, connect meaningfully and bring coherence to complex situations will continue to shape the future.
